Police are actively investigating a serious traffic collision that occurred on Easter Monday, April 6, along Pares Main Road, involving a white Toyota Hiace van and a white Honda Accord. According to Antigua.news, the crash left four individuals hospitalised with multiple serious injuries.
Authorities report that the Honda Accord was travelling at speed from east to west and overtook a line of traffic. During the manoeuvre, the vehicle struck the Toyota Hiace, which was travelling in the opposite direction.
Emergency Medical Services personnel transported all four injured parties — including a minor — to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre following the collision. Among those hospitalised, a 63-year-old male, an 18-year-old male, and the minor have been reported in stable condition. Medical teams continue to work to stabilise the driver of the Honda Accord.
Both vehicles sustained significant damage in the impact.
