The United Progressive Party (UPP) is set to officially launch its general election campaign on Sunday, April 12, with a public event titled "Ignite." According to Antigua News Room, the gathering will serve as the formal kickoff of the party's bid for political power.

Described as "a night of prayer and praise," the event will be held at the "Knuckle Block" in Grays Farm, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Promotional material released by the party indicates that performer Bridget Blucher will feature at the event.

Organisers are inviting both supporters and members of the general public to attend, framing the occasion as the start of a concerted push for political change. In a message accompanying the announcement, the party urged supporters to participate in what it called the "ignition of our campaign to effect the change our country needs."

The UPP's campaign slogan, "Government Must Work For You," features prominently in its promotional material, signalling the central message the party intends to carry into the election period.

The launch arrives as political activity across Antigua and Barbuda intensifies ahead of the anticipated general election, with parties increasing their outreach efforts and public engagement throughout constituencies.
