The United Progressive Party (UPP) is set to formally ratify the 16 candidates who will represent the party in the upcoming general election, expected later this month. According to Antigua.news, delegates to the General Council will convene tonight, Monday, April 7, at Freedom Hall to accept nominations from all constituency branches.
Four sitting Members of Parliament are among those seeking re-election, joined by a mix of returning caretakers and first-time party candidates. The full slate, as reported by Antigua.news, is as follows:

Tonight's ratification meeting will also set the stage for the UPP's official campaign launch, scheduled for Sunday, April 12, in Rural West. The launch will be held under the theme "Ignite" and will feature a performance by gospel artiste Bridget Blucher.
