Prime Minister Gaston Browne joined students from Villa Primary School on Wednesday to attach the final batch of recycled bottle caps to a new art mural at the Antigua Recreation Grounds (ARG), according to Antigua Observer.
The mural, located on the northern wall of the ARG, was completed by an artistic team that same afternoon. The project marks a notable addition to the historic grounds ahead of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), which Antigua and Barbuda is set to host.
The collaborative effort brought together the country's leadership and young students in a hands-on contribution to the public artwork. The use of recycled bottle caps as the primary material gives the mural an environmentally conscious dimension, reflecting both artistic creativity and sustainability.
As reported by Antigua Observer, the completed work on the ARG's northern wall stands as a landmark piece tied to the nation's CHOGM preparations, blending community participation with national pride.
