Prime Minister Gaston Browne has honoured the nation's centenarians, calling them living treasures whose sacrifices helped shape modern Antigua and Barbuda.
According to Antigua Observer, the tributes were paid during the annual Centenarian Week celebrations, which commenced on Monday. Browne took the occasion to recognise citizens who have lived through an entire century of the nation's history.
The Prime Minister stated that the longevity of these individuals reflected not only the years they have lived, but the broader contributions they have made to the country's development and identity.
