Stronger mentorship programmes and structured opportunities are essential to expanding the influence of youth and women in leadership roles across Antigua and Barbuda, a senior government official says.
According to Antigua Observer, Jamie Saunders, Executive Director of the Directorate of Gender Affairs, made the remarks during an interview with Observer Media in which she addressed the participation of youth and women in leadership and decision-making processes.
Saunders indicated that Antigua and Barbuda must take deliberate steps to ensure these groups are meaningfully included in positions of influence, rather than leaving their advancement to chance.
