A significant drug bust at V.C. Bird International Airport has resulted in the seizure of cannabis with an estimated street value of $476,000 and the arrest of at least one man.

According to Antigua Observer, the illegal drugs were uncovered during a drug interdiction operation conducted on Friday, involving the Narcotics Department, the K-9 Unit, and the Customs Enforcement Unit.

Officers searched two black suitcases after a police dog alerted them to the luggage, leading to the discovery of the large cannabis haul.
